Have you heard of the author anne a lay apostle? I hadn’t until a few days ago when someone at work started talking about it, they swear by it and says it has helped them out a lot – I am tempted to buy it and give it a try myself. I don’t really read self help type books very often as I find a lot are useless and the same old information repeated time and time again, but this one has glowing reviews on Amazon as well as a personal recommendation – so I feel I should give it a chance
I remember seeing a recent eHarmony advert on the TV that said something like one in every 10 people who get married met on dating sites. That’s pretty impressive when you consider dating online was still seen as something really ‘sad’ and only something weirdos did as little as ten years ago. It’s certainly come a long way pretty fast.
My husband and I met online, not on a dating website but in a chatroom – we spoke online for over 3 years before biting and the bullet and meeting up and then the rest as they say is history. Back then I used to dread people asking us how we met and knowing the ‘ewww’ looks we’d get back once we said – now I don’t even think about it, if someone asks I say loud and proud that we met in a chatroom and no one bats an eyelid
I think it’s a great thing, it’s so hard to find that perfect partner and the Internet opens up so many more opportunities – when would I have ever physically met my husband if it wasn’t for the Internet? Simply, I wouldn’t.
