Be careful with acne medicines

I got involved in a conversation at work about the accutane lawsuit 2010 – I didn’t know any thing about it to be honest but others were getting heated and I do like to stick more nose into a good debate, it certainly helps pass the time on quiet days at work and makes 5pm roll around that little bit quicker.

Accutane is an acne medicine that appears to have been used somewhat inappropriately, it’s really powerful stuff and was only ever intended to be given to patients with extremely bad cases of acne but has been prescribed to those who really didn’t need it and has caused lots of people some pretty unpleasant side effects such as bone loss, stroke, heart attack, liver damage, seizures, inflammatory bowel disease, decreased white blood cells, and allergic vasculitis – yeah, that’s some pretty serious stuff right there and I can understand why those effected are seeking compensation.

It’s a basic human reaction to trust that the medicines your doctor is providing you with are going to not only be safe, but also the correct course of action for whatever your complaint may be. If that trust is broken then something needs to be done about it, quite clearly.
