I am on the look out for some really nice, but affordable modern outdoor lighting that not only looks good but also isn’t too expensive to run. I often find that when something looks pretty it doesn’t take energy saving bulbs and I end up not buying it because I don’t like to feel like I am throwing money away.
I love lighting that has simple clean lines but is also a little different and ‘stand out’, so a splash of colour or some kind of fancy shape or pattern.
I love looking at lighting, whenever we go in to a department store the lighting section is always the first place I head to, usually while my husband is looking at TVs. Funnily enough when I go into TV sections in shops they make me kinda dizzy, with all the bright lights and heat – yet I can happily go into a lighting section which has the exact same issues of light and heat – and spend a lot of time happily browsing without any problem.
I would love to get some modern lighting for the whole house as every thing we have now is old and tired looking but we are going to start with the outside lights and go from there.
My mum spent ages looking for a good place to get sofa beds futons uk a few months ago, after I moved out, she still wanted us to be able to visit but didn’t want to keep my room as it was so a sofa bed seemed the right way to go. She wanted to get a good one so that we are nice and comfy when we visit but she didn’t want to have to spend a fortune. I think she paid about £250 in the end but it’s really nice and really comfy and frees up the room for her to exercise and do her knitting in 
I am on the look out for some Ray Ban Sunglasses at the moment, and you know me by now, of course they need to be discounted Ray Ban Sunglasses, the bigger the discount the better. I don’t like to pay full price for any thing and getting a bargain gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that I remember every time I use something.
Winter is a great time to buy things you associate with summer as well because they aren’t in high demand so there’s a better chance of being able to scope out a good bargain
Does any one know a good site where I can get custom pens? I want to get some made up with my details on them for handing out to friends and family – I am moving away soon and it’s a good idea for sharing my new address and phone number etc with my loved ones. It’s more interesting and unique than sending out ‘new address’ cards any way because let’s be honest people always lose those things, I know I do any way. Whenever I get one I plan to put it somewhere safe, but then when the time comes that I actually need to find the persons new address or phone number I have no clue what I have done with it, if it was on a pen though I’d be much more likely to know where it was at any given time.

I think I am going to pick up a new Yon-Ka Gel Nettoyant Travel Kit for taking with me while I am traveling up and down the country over the next few weeks. I am moving in with my fiance (finally!) so will be making many trips back and forth.
I can’t be without my fancy skincare products and these come in a clear zipped bag so you don’t have to faff about – just hop right on the plane with it
My mum asked me to help her find some Crystal Quartz Singing Bowl earlier and I said sure, then she started reeling off a list of things she did and didn’t want it to be like and I had to admit I had no idea what a singing bowl was! hehe.
Turns out they are a sort of bell that people use to help with meditation, yoga and the like.

I think it’s about time I got some new glasses as the ones I have now I have had for at least ten years! Thankfully at the time I got some pretty plain ones because I know from experience buying ‘fashion’ glasses is dumb – as they were so expensive I definitely wanted some that were going to last! I didn’t quite expect them to last 10 years though.
Now that I have lost weight they actually don’t fit me any more though, it’s not really somewhere you think about losing weight but I suppose it makes sense – as you get less fat on your face you are going to need a smaller size.
I found a site where you can buy them for as little as $8, I couldn’t really believe my eyes because my last ones cost about 50 times more than that.
How times change hey? Now, which to pick
Have I mentioned recently how much I loved shopping for fixtures, furniture and fittings when we renovated our house last year – it was so much hard work but it was also a dream come true because I always wanted to be an Interior designer growing up. I love every minute of it, I got to combine my desire to be an interior designer with my love of shopping – or more specifically bargain shopping. I used lots of sites like www.nobodybeatsmitch.com to make sure I was getting the best deal on every single item I bought – from our king sized bed to the towel rack in the bathroom.
We spent an absolute fortune on the whole thing that’s for sure, but we also saved an absolute fortune through savvy shopping.
I am almost sad that we completed every thing because now I still see great offers and want to buy them or come up with new design ideas that I can’t use haha
I was just looking for a name plate for my husband, I know that these things are usually for kids and whatnot and my husband is definitely not a child – he’s 30 years old (as I will be in about 12 hours time, argh!) But he just got a shed out in the back yard and he keeps telling me it’s his, it’s his and I am not allowed in there as it’s his escape.
He’s not serious of course, I can go where ever I like but I don’t want to go in really and I think it’s cute he has his own shed now. So I want to get him a custom tag for the door with his name on and maybe saying something silly like ‘No girls allowed’ hehe. I have a secret, don’t tell anyone – but I love watching all those cheesy judge and jury type shows on TV! I usually can’t stand day time TV in general but especially shows that feature real people having real dramas, I find them really over the top and obnoxious but I can’t help but love the judge ones – Judge Judy is my hero, I could watch her sorting people out all day long and then some more.
Randomly I also always enjoy looking at all the court house furniture they use because it’s usually so nice and expensive looking, they use the sort of items I would like in my kitchen if money were no object.
Obviously I wouldn’t have pews and stands in my kitchen, that would just be silly – I just mean I like the wood they use and the style and cut in general
